Flexible curtain door Marc-Ok plus

APPLICATION

Marc-Ok plus flexible curtain fire doors are designed to separate fire zones in accordance with current fire safety regulations inside and outside buildings and on the routes of transport systems.

Thanks to the low height of the lintel required for installation, the curtain is ideal for building partitions, particularly underground garages and shopping malls, where every centimetre of floor space is important and door dimensions are minimised. For external locations, there is the option of mounting on spacer brackets to compensate for the occurrence of thermal bridging.

Marc-Ok plus are flexible fire zone closures and, due to their very high fire resistance class, can be successfully used as an alternative to passive fire protection with larger installation conditions. They can also be installed in tandem with a door or roller shutter without fire resistance.

DESCRIPTION, CONSTRUCTION AND CHARACTERISTICS OF THE DOOR

The Marc-Ok plus fire curtain door consists of the following components: curtain mantle, guides, rollers, roll supports and a VIC type drive. The curtain itself consists of three layers of multilayer fabric for an EI60-class door and five for an EI120-class door. The main component of the multilayer mantle fabric is glass fibre reinforced with steel wire. The upper edge of the curtain mantle is fixed to the winding shaft. Along the lower edge of the jacket, there is a gate ballast that allows it to be properly tensioned (no wrinkles and proper winding), which provides additional stiffening. The winding shaft supports are attached to the building envelope. The winding shaft, together with the brackets, is housed in a cover. The shaft cover is made of 0.7 - 1.0 mm thick galvanised steel sheet. The vertical edges of the casing are provided with guides, which are guided in profile guides. The cross-section of the guide is 80 x 120 mm. The guide grille is made of 0.7 mm thick galvanised steel sheet. The guide and cassette fascias can be manufactured from galvanised sheet metal in the three basic colours RAL 7035, 9002 and 9010. A different colour or a stainless steel finish is also available. On request, there is the option of a smoke-tight variant or the connection of a wide range of electrical equipment such as fire alarms, door position monitoring or access control. A smaller door, instead of an electric drive and detectors connected to the SAP system, can be fitted with a thermal fusible link release and a safety system which, thanks to the torsion damping spring, prevents the curtain from falling too rapidly to pose a risk of injury.

Marc-Ok plus

  • extremely lightweight - sheath thickness: 9 mm - 6 kg/m2 (EI60 /
  • EW120), 18 mm - 9 kg/m2 - EI90 / EW120, EI120 / EW120,
  • door dimensions: tailored to individual customer order,
  • minimum cassette dimensions: 250 x 275 (EI60), 325 x 350 (EI120),
  • quick and easy door assembly - simplified system
  • easy assembly - a simplified system of "sliding in" and locking the shaft reduces the assembly time by up to 25%,
  • smooth cassette effect - the cassette is flush with the guides for EI60,
  • invisible curtain - curtain concealed, not protruding beyond the cassette,
  • basic declared use category is C0,
  • basic declared wind class is class 1,
  • 2-year guarantee as standard,
  • the solutions used in the door are patented.

OPERATING PRINCIPLES

In the case of electrically operated curtain doors, the curtain is wound onto a shaft and held open by a brake or self-locking drive gear.

In the event of a fire danger signal, the curtain is released and moves into the closed position. Marc-Ok plus curtain doors with a width and height of no more than 2.5 m do not require an electric drive. The door is then actuated by a thermal fusible link trigger, which is released at a temperature of approx. 74 °C and the curtain unfolds closing the fire zone. A torsion spring located in the shaft ensures a constant closing speed and the door does not require any additional components, e.g. cranks, to open again. It is possible to produce doors with non-standard dimensions and doors with extended technical parameters - after individual consultation.

ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT

  • Sa and S200 smoke tightness class possible according to EN 13501-2:2016,
