Specialised high-speed spiral door for freezer rooms

The first high-speed spiral door for freezer rooms which simultaneously achieves the highest opening and closing speeds and excellent thermal insulation. The use of the EFA-SST® TK-100 is the optimal solution for passages to any freezer room without the need for an additional second door.

Low temperature barrier

The heating system for the contact surfaces is built into the seals at the perimeter of the door blade and in the edge trim profile. This heats the contact surfaces between the seals and the door leaf and the floor; freezing is prevented. Unlike other solutions, the Efaflex high-speed door for cold stores can reduce energy costs by up to 50%. The result of this unique design is an excellent U-value (up to 0.62 W/m2/K) and an operating temperature of 30 degrees C to -30 degrees C.

Leakage

The excellent performance of the EFA-SST® TK-100 is due, among other things, to the innovative dynamic sealing system of the door blade. Thanks to the active rail guide system (EFA-AFM®), the door blade is pressed against the seals in the final closing phase, producing a virtually hermetic closing effect. The special features of the EFA-SST® TK-100 result in changes to the installation method. Compared to other doors of the EFA-SST® series, the TK-100 requires installation on the outside, i.e. the so-called warm side, in order to protect the mechanisms from the effects of low temperatures. Higher thermal insulation than in other doors of the EFA-SST® TK-100 series is ensured by the 100 mm thick EFA-THERM® laths.
